Yaaay! I have my hotel (actually guest house) booked for Eurovision week 2013. The powers that be swear that there wil be some rooms available at Malmö hotels after the national delegations finish reserving the spaces that have been blocked out for the week, but I am not taking any chances. So rather than banking on a room in Malmö that may or may not materialize, I am staying in Köpenhamn, Danmark, near the central station and a half-hour train ride from the arena in Sweden where Eurovision will be held.
Thanks to Carsten Appel, proprietor of Carsten’s Guest House, for being sweet and patient with my trying to book my room so far in advance (since July). The guest house seems nice, clean and comfy, convenient, and really affordable. So I can’t WAIT to be there in person in May to find out!
