Denmark Will Be Hard to Leave

Today I had a great breakfast here at the hotel courtesy of the cooking skills of Carsten, then Keld and I biked to the gym, did some grocery shopping for the hotel, then after we got back we biked out again for an afternoon at a pretty lake in Christiania and then a bike ride to a beach at the ocean. The weather was a beautiful sunny 70, and everywhere we went Danes were out enjoying spring’s first taste of summer.

I love Swedish music, humor, books and culture, but Denmark is the one that really left a lifetime imprint on my heart this trip. I will be desperately cheering on Emmelie and Denmark in the Eurovision finals tonight so that I will have a good excuse to start saving to come back right here again next year.
